Tips for Cutting Grass

With large parts of Australia suffering from drought, it can be difficult to keep your lawn looking green and lush. While your lawn doesn’t have to look perfect like a bowling green, it is still good to have it looking like it has some life without having to water too often.

Tips for Cutting Grass - The easiest way to do this is not to mow too low down and not as regularly during winter when the grass stops growing. The picture below shows two lawns right next to one other with different mowing patterns. The lawn on the left is mowed very close to the ground and regularly. This has resulted in the bare patches of earth. The lawn on the right looks much more lush because it is not mowed as low down or as regularly. You can literally see the line down the middle of the two lawns.

Therefore not mowing your lawn so low and less often is a great way to retain the lushness of your lawn, without having to use too much water.
